Per ARTICLE II, General Meetings

Section 2. A biennial meeting (Even numbered years) at which Board of Directors members are elected shall be on the 3rd Tuesday in November. At the election meeting, a

quorum shall consist of those members present.

ARTICLE IV

Board of Directors

Section 1. Number – There shall be nine (9) elected members of the Board of Directors. The

immediate past president shall serve as a non-voting ex-officio member of the board.

Section 2. Term – The term of offices shall be four, (4), years, with five, (5), members being

elected on presidential election years and four (4) members being elected on gubernatorial

election years.

Section 3. Term Limits – A Board member shall be eligible for re-election, but may not serve

more than two consecutive full terms.

Section 4. Election – At the biennial election meeting of all members (see: Article II, Sec. 2),

there shall be open voting (i.e., not defined places) for all nominated candidates, with a majority vote required to elect.

Section 5. Eligibility – To be eligible for election to the Board, a member must be a registered voter, have voted in the most recent Republican Primary, be a member in good standing and have been an assembly member for at least one year. In keeping with the grassroots nature of the Assembly, publicly-elected officials and candidates for public office are not eligible to serve as Board members. This clause shall not preclude Republican Party officers (e.g., precinct Chairmen) from serving as Board members.

Section 6. Quorum – A quorum for Board meetings is 50% of the current Board membership.

WE encourage all members to attend this meeting! This a very important meeting and what happens here will affect our organization and how it operates for the next couple of years.

We will also have a Speaker to speak on Illegal Immigration and Voter ID.

Also on the agenda, will be a discussion on the Race for Speaker of the House.

(Cookies and Coffee will be provided.)
